A five-minute daily reset

A practical planning routine for the life around caregiving.

Start with three priorities

Write down three practical things that matter today. If the list is already too long, choose one task you can make smaller. A useful plan should fit the day you actually have.

Give “later” a place

Use the “What can wait” box for nonurgent tasks. Putting something on tomorrow's list can be a deliberate choice. Keep clinical or urgent concerns with the appropriate care team.

Name one request for help

Instead of “I need more help,” try “Could you pick up the groceries Thursday afternoon?” Give the person room to confirm or suggest a different time.

Put yourself on the page

Choose a small personal moment: calling a friend, reading a few pages, or sitting outside. The page is not a scorecard. It is a place to make the day a little clearer.
