A little time for the woman, too

Keep a small part of the week connected to your own interests.

Choose something you actually enjoy

Your personal time does not have to look like anyone else's. It might be an outfit you feel good in, music, a walk, a familiar hobby, or a conversation that is not about logistics.

Make a small version

If a whole afternoon is unrealistic, write down a shorter version. Ten quiet minutes can be easier to arrange than a large plan that never gets a date.

Plan the practical help

If someone needs to step in, confirm who, when, and the everyday details before the break. Rely on the care team's instructions for care needs.
